Grossman Plastic Surgery Offers Holiday Twist to Nipping and Tucking

Posted on: Thursday, 15 December 2005, 09:00 CST

DENVER, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Grossman Plastic Surgery is now offering cosmetic surgery in the form of gift certificates. From a very affordable plastic surgery consultation to pricey procedures such as breast augmentation and buttock implants, perfectly packaged and presented gift certificates are now available.

Board-certified aesthetic plastic surgeon Dr. John Grossman has been in practice for 30 years, and has never before offered gift certificates. However, public acceptance of plastic surgery and a recent surge in requests for gift certificates has changed his mind.

"We typically experience an increase in procedures this time of year because patients have more time for plastic surgery and recovery without missing a lot of work," explained Grossman.

The gift certificates idea really hit home for Grossman when one of his VIP clients asked if she could buy a plastic surgery gift card for her hairdresser, who had been talking about having a facelift performed for years.

"It's amazing just how popular plastic surgery is today," remarked Grossman. "My appearance to discuss plastic surgery on the 'Phil Donahue Show' in the 1970's was highly controversial. The topic was still taboo. Attitudes have changed dramatically in recent years, and plastic surgery isn't just for the rich and famous anymore."

Gift certificates can be purchased for just about any procedure for which the patient is a candidate. The most simple and affordable gift certificate available is for a cosmetic surgery consultation, costing $175, and can go as high as tens of thousands of dollars for multiple procedures.

When it comes to giving and receiving plastic surgery gift certificates, Grossman said there is some basic etiquette to follow:

When purchasing a gift certificate 1. Only purchase a gift certificate if the receiver has specifically asked for such a gift and has previously discussed the issue. 2. The recipient should be in good physical and mental health. When asking for a gift certificate 1. Let those closest to you know how you feel. Make it clear that you would be completely comfortable receiving plastic surgery as a gift. 2. Plastic surgery will alter your appearance, but not how you feel on the inside. It shouldn't be considered as a solution to internal conflicts or personal problems. 3. You should be in good physical and mental health.

Grossman Plastic Surgery, one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets, has been providing aesthetic and reconstructive services in Denver since 1976.
