\\\\Six Miners' Bodies Found in Flooded Chinese Coal Mine

Changchun, 19 December: Rescue workers on Monday [19 December] found the bodies of all six miners trapped in a coal mine in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, which was flooded on 8 December.
Li Lianqing, director of the coal mine watchdog in Shuangyang District of Changchun, said that the flooding occurred at Changling Coal Mine at 3 a.m. [local time] on 8 December, trapping seven miners who were working underground at the time. Only one miner was rescued alive.
One body has been cremated, and officials are negotiating with the families of the five other victims for cremation services, said Li.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
