Mr. Bakala Looks for Finances, Will He Send OKD to the Stock Exchange?

OKD (Ostrava, Czech Republic), coal mining company, may enter the stock exchange. It was admitted by the businessman Mr. Z. Bakala, who controls OKD, at the end of 2005. According to Mr. Bakala, OKD will need hundreds of millions of EUR for acquisitons and the contingent privtization of coal mines in Poland. OKD is interested in the mines Budryk, Poland, and Jastrzebska Spolka Weglova, Poland, which produce 17 mil t of coal per year. OKD produces about 13 mil t of coal per year in 2005.
