GLASGOW is the first Scots city to pilot new recycling banks at a centre in the east end.
The "rescape banks" are part of the city's first purpose-built recycling centre and will take glass, plastic bottles, steel and aluminium cans, newspapers, magazines and textiles.
Glasgow City Council has installed the galvanised steel banks as part of a GBP730,000 refurbishment of the site at Easter Queenslie to help the city reach its 2010 recycling target of 36-per cent of all waste.
