Gazprom to Supply Up to 920 Mcm of Gas to Georgia in 2006

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) – Gazexport, Gazprom’s wholly owned subsidiary for exporting gas, and Tbilgazi signed a contract for the delivery of natural gas to Georgia in 2006, Gazprom said in a press release.

The contract was signed in accordance with an agreement reached earlier on changing over to new prices in 2006 taking into account transport schemes, the release says.

“Tbilgazi, in accordance with the contract, will buy up to 920 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas at $110 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2006,” the release says.

Georgia bought gas from Gazprom at $63 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2005.

Gazexport had supplied Georgia with 1.23 bcm of gas as of December 1, 2005.

Gazexport supplied 1.23 bcm of gas to Georgia in 2004. It said earlier that it planned to supply 1.45 bcm of gas in 2005.
