Police Shoot Man After Officer Hurt

Jan. 2--Police responding to a disturbance Sunday night at Linwood Boulevard and Benton Avenue shot a man after an officer was assaulted and injured.

The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. An ambulance took the injured officer to a hospital.
