New Small Power Plant Put into Operation in Central Tajikistan

A small hydroelectric power plant has been put into operation in the Sar-i Nav village in the central district of Tojikobod, the Tajik news agency Asia-Plus reported on 9 January.
Quoting the Tajik Energy Ministry, the agency said the power plant had been built with support from the government as part of a programme of building small power plants in rural areas.
The capacity of the plant is 37 kWh and it is capable of maintaining uninterrupted power supply to the village, the agency said.
