January 9, 2006
Economic Development Minister Irakli Chogovadze has said that Georgia will take into account the US position should it consider the sale of the trunk gas pipeline by which Russia supplies natural gas to Georgia and Armenia.
Addressing a briefing Chogovadze said: “As regards the trunk gas pipeline, naturally, no decision has been taken yet. We should simply keep in mind one thing. This is a very important issue for our strategic partner and Georgia will naturally take this into account”.
