Met-Pro Corporation's Systems Division Receives Equipment Order Totaling Approximately $900,000
Posted on: Tuesday, 10 January 2006, 09:00 CST
HARLEYSVILLE, Pa., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raymond J. De Hont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation , announced today that the Company's Systems Division, in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, has received an order to supply a thermal oxidizer and post-acid scrubber to be installed in a chemical manufacturing plant in the southeastern United States. The total value of this order is approximately $900,000. The equipment is expected to ship in the first half of the Company's next fiscal year.
Met-Pro Corporation's Systems Division was selected to provide this equipment based on their extensive experience in treating volatile organic compounds and other atmospheric pollutants from chemical manufacturing and other industrial applications. Their reputation for responsiveness to customer requirements was also a major factor.
The custom-designed thermal oxidizer will achieve high destruction and removal efficiencies of halogenated volatile organic compounds. Proprietary Systems Division software will be utilized for the oxidizer's control system. The post-acid scrubber subsystem will be supplied by Met-Pro's Duall Division in Owosso, Michigan. Met-Pro will design, manufacture and start up the system.
"This order reinforces Systems Division's reputation as a supplier of choice for field-proven multi-discipline solutions to tough air pollution control problems," stated De Hont. "It follows an order in excess of $850,000 announced last week for a Systems Division's regenerative thermal oxidizer sold by our International Division for use in a petrochemical facility in the People's Republic of China. Together with a steady stream of customer interest and quotation activity, this order allows us to remain optimistic about our prospects for future awards of this type at Systems Division."
