UHS Swimmers Tops at Dual Meet: Hawks Hold Off Buckhannon, Preston at Contest

Jan. 16–BUCHANAN — University High’s boys and girls swimming teams dominated a double dual meet with Preston and Buckhannon-Upshur Saturday. The boys defeated B-U, 96-52, and Preston 108-43, while the girls defeated B-U, 100-62, and Preston 120-43. Buckhannan-Upshur girls defeated Preston, 86-63, and the boys won 73-59. University High’s boys winners were: 200-yard medley relay team of Andrew LeMasters, Sean Hennessee, Adam Frohnapfel and Vincent DeGeorge (2:02.13), LeMasters in the 50 free (24.17), DeGeorge in the 100 free (1:00.52, 200 free relay team of LeMasters, DeGeorge, Ryan and and Sean Hennessee (1:41.8), LeMasters i the 100 backstroke (1:02.44) and Sean Hennessee in the 100 breast (1:20.56). University girls winners were: 200-yard medley relay team of Hillary Shultz, Stephanie Petsko, Heidi Shultz, Courtney, Dlugos (2:18.05), Elida Beatty in the 200 free (2:33.77), Heidi Shultz in the 50 free (28.27), Petsko in the 100 fly (1:18.95), Heidi Shultz in the 100 free (1:01.36), Kelly Bryant in the 100 breast (1:27.69, 400 free relay team of Hillary and Heidi Shultz, Courtney Dlugos, Annalisa Delagarza (4:33.17). Preston had one winner, Alecia Hart in the 100 back in 1:18.56.
