Senior Program Offers Trip to McCall Carnival
By The Idaho Statesman, Boise
Jan. 16–Caldwell Recreation’s “65ALIVE” program is offering a trip to the McCall Ice Carnival this winter, including a stop for elk viewing in Donnelly.
The trip, for people age 55 and older, is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 31. It is designed as a great way to get out and enjoy the beauty of winter in the mountains.
Ride the hay wagon out and spend the morning feeding the dozens of elk that gather around to eat. After the elk viewing and lunch in Donnelly, the bus will travel to McCall to view the ice sculptures.
Pre-registration is required, and registration will continue until Jan. 27 or until all 45 seats are filled.
The fee is $42 which includes transportation, lunch and entrance fee to view the elk.
The bus will leave the Caldwell Recreation parking lot at 8 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. A pickup location will be available in Nampa.
