EDGEWATER, N.J., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Whole Foods Market(R) , the world's leading natural and organic foods supermarket, Edgewater, NJ store will host the first "Fabulous Fats" Workshop and food tasting presented by Stacey Antine, MS, RD, founder of New Jersey-based HealthBarn USA(R), Inc. on Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The educational workshop will provide consumers with practical guidance on how-to incorporate great tasting, healthful fats into their diets, and explain what the new FDA trans fat nutrition labeling for foods means to their shopping experience. The workshop will be offered free of charge to the general public.

"We're pleased to have Ms. Antine, who works with families everyday, bring her expertise in nutrition and health education to Whole Foods Market customers," stated Ellie Spray, Marketing Team Leader, Whole Foods Market, Edgewater, NJ. "We are strongly committed to offering consumers high quality and delicious organic and natural foods, and like HealthBarn USA, we know that educating consumers about these choices are equally important."

The "Fabulous Fats" Workshop will help consumers get smart about nutrition label reading for saturated fat, cholesterol -- and now trans fat -- and their health. They will learn which fats need to be in the diet, which should be eaten minimally, and why. Practical demonstrations will show how-to use a variety of all natural fats in cooking, baking and as finishing oils in new and creative everyday recipes for the whole family. This fun and unique experience also includes a tasting of an assortment of organic cold pressed, extra-virgin olive oils from Greece, Italy and California and of oils from fruits, nuts and seeds.

The workshop was developed by HealthBarn USA, and is part of its 12-week healthy-lifestyle education programs, http://www.healthbarnusa.com/, for children and their parents offered at ABMA's Farm in Wyckoff, NJ. Throughout the year, children enrolled in HealthBarn USA's programs learn about natural, nutritious foods by planting, harvesting and cooking with their own produce.

"Fabulous Fats" workshop will be held at Whole Foods Market, 905 River Road, Edgewater, NJ. For more information, please call 201-941-4000.
