According to "Tehran Times", Zinc production in Iran is estimated to set a 20% growth this year as prices continue to move up in the international market. This will result in a 30-million-dollar increase in the country's revenues from production of minerals
. However, an expert believes that the high price of Anguran mine's zinc ore could affect the process of development in the country's zinc factories. The Anguran oxide zinc mine is Iran's largest and one of the world's richest operating open-pit zinc operations with a resource estimated in excess of 20 million tons of 35% zinc oxides. The Anguran open-pit is located on top of a mountain ridge in Zanjan Province.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
