KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Naftogaz Ukrainy will continue re-exporting natural gas to Europe, company Chairman Oleksiy Ivchenko told reporters.
"We have signed five-year export contracts which we'll observe," he said.
Ivchenko declined to say how much gas Naftogaz plans to re- export in 2006. Nor did he name the figure for 2005.
He said, however, that Ukraine reached the end of 2005 with a gas surplus of 1.5 billion cubic meters "for the first time in recent years."
