Agreement to Mine Zinc and Lead

The Internet site 26 SEPTEMBER NET reported on the signing of an agreement between the Yemen Oil Ministry and the British Zinc Company regarding zinc and lead mining operations in the Naham region
. Investments in this project will come to $75 million. The agreement was signed in late October 2005 by the Director of the Yemen Geological Authority, Dr. Isma'il al-Jend, and the Manager of the British company. The Internet site quoted the Yemen official who said that this agreement will encourage operations in the mineral mining sector in Yemen.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
