Oman Oil Company to Explore for Oil and Natural Gas in Caspian Sea

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted a notice published in mid- December 2005 in the Oman Sultanate announcing that the Oman Oil Company has signed an agreement with the Kazakhstan government to carry out oil and natural gas exploratory drilling in the Kazakhstan area of the Caspian Sea
. The agreement was signed by Oman Oil Minister Dr. Muhammad bin Hamid al-Ramahi and the Kazakhstan Oil and Mines Minister. In accordance with this agreement, the Omani Natural Gas Company will operate in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Kazmunay Gas Company and the Shell Oil Company.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
