Alcan Recognized As Best-in-Class of the "2006 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World"

MONTREAL, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alcan Inc. (NYSE, TSX: AL) announced today that it has been selected best-in-class in the metals and mining industry for the second year in a row on the "2006 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World" listing. The list recognizes the best companies' exceptional capacity to address sector-specific environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.
