In his new role as chairman, Snyder will lead the State's first energy- focused development center of excellence charged with the mission to establish Central Indiana as the "Bio-Crossroads of Energy.""We have a multi- generational wealth of available engineering expertise associated with Anderson's legacy in the automotive industry," stated Snyder. "We are responding to the President's call for energy independence by enlisting the best talent available anywhere to help us commercialize new and emerging energy technologies," noted Snyder.

Charles Staley, president and chief executive officer of the Flagship Enterprise Center commented, "We are pleased and very fortunate to have Mr. Snyder's talent and dedication to this effort which will benefit both our community and the course of future energy enterprises around the world. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we welcome his leadership and look forward to a new world of opportunities in the vital field of alternative energy."
