Egypt's Oil Production Up to 1.9 Million Barrels

Oil, hnatural gas and condensates production went up to 1.9 million barrels a day, the highest in history of the Egyptian petroleum sector, said Cabinet Spokesman Magdi Radi
. Subsidy allocated for petroleum products in the budget of the fiscal year 2005-2006 increased to L.E41 billion, up L.E 15 billion compared to subsidy of 2004-2005, he said. A report received by Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi pointed out that most increase was in natural gas production that reached 1.2 million barrels a day. Crude oil and condensates production amounted to 700,000 barrels a day.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
