Development Plan for Oil and Natural Gas Wells to 2015

Al-Khaleej newspaper quoted Algerian Energy Minister Shakib Khalil who said in early January 2006 that the goal of the development plan for the oil and natural gas sector is to reach a daily production of two million barrels by 2010, compared to 1.4 million barrels today
. He said that thirteen new oil fields were discovered during 2004 and five additional oil fields were found in 2005. The development plan also includes export of 85 billion cubic meters of natural gas by 2010 and 100 billion cubic meters by 2015.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
