NiSource Interstate Pipelines Renew Long-Term Transportation and Storage Agreements With Washington Gas

FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. and Columbia Gulf Transmission Co.-interstate natural gas pipeline units of NiSource Inc. today announced that Washington Gas Light Co. has extended its expiring firm transportation and storage agreements for terms of five years.
The NiSource pipelines are essential transportation and storage providers for Washington Gas. Extending its agreements with NiSource allows Washington Gas to retain full access to the firm transportation and storage capacity it uses in large part to serve more than one million residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout metropolitan Washington D.C. and surrounding areas.
Washington Gas is the NiSource pipelines' largest non-affiliated customer, which continues to undergo considerable growth within its service territory.
