The Governor's Office of Energy Management and Conservation (OEMC) announced that two Colorado renewable energy experts, Craig Jones and Angela Crooks, have joined its staff as program managers, filling vacancies. Craig Jones is an industry veteran with more than 28 years of experience working in marketing efforts, biomass utilization, and bioenergy projects. Angela Crooks has worked in the marketing and financing of renewable energy projects, including working with Renewable Energy Credits. Jones' primary responsibility is to build a woody biomass program and Crooks will work with wind energy and other renewable energy programs.

"We are excited to have two experts like Craig and Angela help continue making Colorado a leader in renewable energy and alternative fuels," said Drew Bolin, director of OEMC.

Prior to working at OEMC, Craig Jones worked with the Colorado State Forest Service, serving as the Boulder District Forester. He worked on special assignment as an interagency project coordinator for the Winiger Ridge Ecosystem Management Project, which was one of the original 39 Stewardship Contracting Pilot Projects and he joined the Colorado Wood Utilization and Marketing Program.

Angela Crooks worked with McNeil Technologies in Lakewood, Colorado, where she focused on policy and finance issues of green marketing and renewable energy projects. Prior to McNeil Technologies, she worked for U.S. Agency for International Development and has extensive environmental, energy, and policy work from working and living in Central Asia.
