MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AK Steel said today that it will increase prices for aluminum coatings by approximately 50%, effective with shipments on April 1, 2006. AK Steel said that the increase is being made in order to recover the extraordinary rise in the cost of aluminum that is used to coat its aluminized steel sheet products.
Headquartered in Middletown, Ohio, AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
