Feb. 25--Healthy Families-Nampa has partnered with Treasure Valley motorcycle clubs to sponsor this year's Jericho 2006 on April 1.
Motorcyclists from around the state will depart Birds of Prey, Harley-Davidson/Buell in Caldwell for a ride around Canyon County. At the same time, walkers will begin marching from the Nampa Train Depot.
For the past two years, Healthy Families-Nampa has sponsored a public awareness campaign focused on healthy relationships.
Last year local Christian motorcycle clubs hosted Jericho 2005, a public display of support for local police chaplains and opposition to gang violence in the community.
This year the two events will become one as the Jericho 2006: March/Ride and Rally for Healthy Marriages.
T-shirts will be available for $20 each with all proceeds benefiting the Healthy Families Nampa project.
Motorcyclists may participate in the Scrabble run and "Best Bike" competitions for a $20 fee. There is no registration fee, but organizations may sponsor 10 walkers in the march for a donation of $180.
To volunteer or register, call Andrew Stinson at 461-5475.
