A total of 383 container ships sailed from Bahrain in 2005, up 2% from 375 ships in 2004. There was a monthly average of thirty-two ships examined. About ten million metric tons of oil was shipped to other Gulf states, Asian and African countries, up 4.3% from nine million in 2004.
