Scattered Ice, Compacted Snow Rule on Some Roads

Mar. 3--Your morning commute may includes encounters with scattered ice or compacted snow, and maybe even a bit of drifting snow.

Interstate 29 has scattered ice from Minto to the Canadian border, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation's road conditions Web site.

U.S. Highway 2 in North Dakota has compacted snow from Leeds to Lakota and scattered ice from Granville to Leeds and from Lakota to Grand Forks Air Force Base.

U.S. Highway 81 has compacted snow from Minto to Joliette.

There was no 7:30 a.m. report on the Minnesota Department of Transportation Web site for for the northwest counties of Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Clearwater, Pennington, Marshall, Red Lake, Polk and Norman.
