Golden Odyssey Mining Inc. Announces Additions to Its Board Of Directors and Management Team

Golden Odyssey Mining Inc. ("Golden Odyssey" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:GOE) is pleased to announce the following additions to its Board of Directors and management team:

Mr. John C. Gingerich, P. Geo. joins the Company's board of directors. Mr. Gingerich is a professional geophysicist (APGO) with over 25 years experience. In October, 2002 John left Noranda/Falconbridge and formed Geotechnical Business Solutions (GBS), a company focused on the development, financing and implementation of new or advanced technology.

Mr. Steven Dawson has been appointed Vice-President Corporate Development handling the interaction between the Company, its shareholders and the public markets. Mr. Dawson has a background in geology with 20 years experience in the mining industry. For the past 12 years, Mr. Dawson has focused on the investor relations, media and corporate communications side of the industry.

The Corporation, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, is engaged in mineral exploration in the State of Nevada. The Corporation has four active projects at this time. Two projects, Palmetto and Morningstar, are located on the Walker Lane Belt in Esmeralda County.
