Indonesia to announce new executives in oil firm Pertamina
JAKARTA, March 8 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government will announce the new board of directors of state-run oil and gas firm Pertamina late Wednesday.
"The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 07:00 p.m. with my presence," Minister for State-Owned Enterprises Sugiharto was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying.
Sugiharto, who was in Central Java province accompanying President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, declined to name the new directors.
He said the president has prepared new tasks for the new directors to make the company more productive and efficient, to launch a thorough audit for accountability and transparency and to reform the management.
"I have 'mobilized' more than 250 public accountants who have been auditing Pertamina at present for the company's reports in 2003, 2004 and 2005," the minister said.
Local media reports said Pertamina President Widya Purnama is replaced by Ari Soemarno, who leads one of Pertamina's subsidiary.
