Energy Stocks Flag Bid for Prudential Pushes Shares Higher MARKETPLACE By Bloomberg

Weaker crude oil prices pushed some energy shares lower. BP, Europe's biggest oil company, fell 4 pence to 658 pence and Total, France's largest oil producer, dropped 1 to 213.10.
Neste Oil, Finland's only oil refiner, slipped 26 cents to 27.68 after Mandatum Securities cut the stock to "accumulate" from "buy." Austria's OMV, Central Europe's biggest oil company, dropped 2 to 52. The share-price forecast was cut to 55 from 56 at Caib.
Cairn Energy, which explores for oil and gas in Asia, tumbled 49 pence to l21.27.
