The Northwest Natural Resources Institute will hold its 11th annual Natural Resources Teacher’s Workshop June 23-27 at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene.

Taught by volunteer industry professionals, the workshop for K- 12 teachers features hands-on learning and a day of field tours designed to give teachers various activities to teach their students about natural resource management.

Besides learning fun activities that will teach kids about hydrology, forestry, agriculture and minerals, teachers will have a chance to go into a working mine, visit a local farm or dam or tour a forest. They will receive classroom materials and kits.

The $150 workshop has space available. Registration deadline is Friday. For more information, contact Diahne Gill at (509) 459-4121 or dgill@chamber.spokane.net.
