Mar. 29--LIMA --Thieves in Lima are targeting construction sites, local homes and businesses in search of metals. "An incident happened in American Township where police caught two individuals cutting up a light pole," said Detective Donald Marik of the Lima Police Department. The pole was made out of lightweight aluminum and set to go up in the American Mall parking lot. The thieves cut the pole up into small pieces so it would be easy for them to carry away. Marik said they were planning to take the pieces to a recycling company where they would get money for it. See METAL -- B4
