The village of Summerfield has issued a boil order as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.
A water main broke about 10:30 a.m. on East Wakefield Street, said David Williams, a village trustee.
The boil order has been issued because there is a possibility of contamination as repairs are being made and new water mains are installed, Williams said.
The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
