Boil Water Order Issued for Summerfield

Posted on: Thursday, 30 March 2006, 09:00 CST

By Belleville News-Democrat, Ill.

The village of Summerfield has issued a boil order as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.

A water main broke about 10:30 a.m. on East Wakefield Street, said David Williams, a village trustee.

The boil order has been issued because there is a possibility of contamination as repairs are being made and new water mains are installed, Williams said.

The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.

For more information, call the Village Hall at 934-3311.
