Mar. 31--A precautionary water boil notice has been ordered for Tuesday for all homes and businesses in Oakwood Estates and for 21st Street West from 9th Avenue East to 16th Avenue East in Ellenton.
Manatee County Utilitry Operations Department issued the notice due to water being turned off 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday to relocate a water main. Once water service is restored, all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled as a precaution. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
The precautionary notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows the water to be safe.
For questions, call 792-8811, extension 5216 from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or 747-HELP after 4:30 p.m.
