Recycling Programs Receive Awards

The Horry County Solid Waste Authority in Conway, South Carolina won the Best Government Recycling Program award and Downtown Diversion of Los Angeles was named C&D Recycler of the Year at the annual Construction Management Recycling Association meeting. Horry County operations include tire recycling, metals, corrugated cardboard along with a composting facility using a CBI Magnum Force 4800 grinder. Downtown Diversion has owned a CBI 4000 model since 2004 to process construction wood and green materials into mulch and beneficial biomass.
