SEATTLE, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the marketing and promotion team that helped build national and regional beer brands including Henry Weinhard's, Rainier and Pabst Blue Ribbon, have launched a new boutique marketing and sales promotion agency to specifically service the over 400 wineries and vineyards in Washington State.
Based in Seattle, Wines of Washington Promotion, The Agency, offers a full range of marketing services to state wineries, including on- and off-premise promotions, point-of-sale materials, label and packaging design, and website marketing.
"This is such an exciting time for Washington wines. The state wine industry has the energy and vibrancy of the early days at Henry's, as well as the first Northwest microbrew boom," says Bruce Bieber, president of the agency and former national promotion director for the Pabst Brewing Company.
"The Washington Wine Commission is doing an awesome job in overall domestic and international umbrella marketing for the entire Washington wine industry. Our job is to help the smaller to moderate size wineries take advantage of our expertise in creating and conducting activities that increase and enhance awareness and exposure for their individual brands while enjoying economies of scale in terms of ganging up print jobs, photo shoots, website enhancements and more."
Wines of Washington Promotion's expertise in building and bootstrapping brands with affordable design, marketing and promotion is key to helping the Washington winemakers, so they can devote the majority of their time to what they do and like best -- making great wine.
"Our job is to arm them with the best tools and materials, to be the best ambassadors on the street for their brands. Wines of Washington Promotion, The Agency, creates and executes programs designed to energize all channels of distribution. Then an energized consumer meets up with an energized promotion -- to service the primary marketing objective -- sales.
"We love working with smaller brands and launching products. The most exciting part of our job is building and executing strategies and tactics, seeing the projects take off, the brands grow and sales boom," he said.
At Pabst Brewing Company, Bieber was part of a five person team handling more than 40 Pabst brands. Budgets were "microscopic" by most marketing standards, he said. "People still marvel at what we were able to accomplish for the Pabst Brewing brands with minimal budgets."
"Our true strength is in getting the job done quickly and cost effectively for our clients. If a winery/vineyard can't afford its own in-house marketing and sales promotion department, we're the next best thing -- we are a wine marketing 'Concierge.'"
