May 9--Superior's fifth graders are helping to protect Lake Superior.

The students will stencil storm drains this month in an effort to educate the public about the lake and water quality.

Students will spray paint the message "Dump No Waste, Drains to Lake" next to storm drains near their schools.

Students at Cooper Elementary are scheduled to paint storm drains on Wednesday; Northern Lights students will paint on Thursday; Four Corners on May 18; Great Lakes on May 24; Bryant on May 25; and Lake Superior on May 31.
