May 13--A Lauderdale Lakes woman died Saturday after the SUV she was driving rolled over on Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Marie J. Joachin, 43, lost control of her 1995 Toyota SUV while traveling southbound on the highway near Atlantic Boulevard, said Sgt. Mark Wysocky, an FHP spokesman.
The vehicle overturned on the west shoulder, and the driver -- who was not wearing a seat belt -- flew out of her car, he said.
Rescue officials transported Joachin to North Broward Medical Center, where she died, Wysocky said.
It is not clear why the driver lost control of the SUV, Wysocky said. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
