GridPoint Joins ENERGY STAR(R); Intelligent Energy Management Provider Helps Customers Save Money While Protecting Environment

GridPoint, Inc.(TM), a provider of intelligent energy management (IEM) products, announced today that it is now a partner in the ENERGY STAR(R) program, which is backed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help businesses and consumers protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.

EPA estimates that by 2010, the savings from energy-efficient investments will reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 2.4 million tons - the equivalent of the pollution produced by 1.7 million cars - and save taxpayers more than $750 million per year.
