ENSR Honored With 2005 Textron Environmental Remediation Partner in Excellence Award

WESTFORD, Mass., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- ENSR Corporation announced that it has received the Textron Environmental Remediation Partner in Excellence Award for a second consecutive year. The 2005 award to ENSR is for the company's performance on a remediation project in Massachusetts. Textron's annual award recognizes the environmental consultant that best demonstrates environmental innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement on a Textron project. Previously, ENSR received Textron's inaugural 2004 Partner in Excellence Award for a remediation project in South Carolina.
ENSR services commended by the 2005 award included design and installation of an enhanced groundwater recovery and treatment system at a former manufacturing facility in Massachusetts. The system replaces an older remediation system and it captures a chlorinated volatile organic compound plume at the downgradient property boundary. System enhancements designed by ENSR have substantially increased mass removal of the groundwater contaminants and successfully reduced off-site impacts in a cost-effective manner. A committee of Textron's corporate environmental managers and environmental managers from peer multi-industry companies served as the award review panel. All work was required to be performed in a safe and injury-free manner.
