DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Raises Prices on Elvanol(R) PVA/PVOH

WILMINGTON, Del., June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) today announced a price increase of $0.06/lb on off-list prices for all grades of DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH), effective July 1, 2006, or as contracts permit.

DuPont cites unprecedented and sustained increases in energy, and petrochemical feedstock and freight costs as significant reasons for this increase. DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) polyvinyl alcohol is used in a variety of industries including textiles, paper and adhesives.
