Posted on: Monday, 5 June 2006, 18:00 CDT

Global Energy Decisions (Global Energy), a provider of integrated software, data and advisory services to the worldwide energy industry, announced that Energy Risk Magazine awarded its 2006 Software Product of the Year to Global Energy for its EnerPrise software solutions. The editorial board at Energy Risk judged many nominations and selected EnerPrise as the winner.

"EnerPrise is the first -- and to Energy Risk's knowledge, only -- standalone enterprise risk management product which combines financial and physical plant information across up to nine company departments including trading, operations, maintenance and fuel procurement," said Stella Farrington, editor of Energy Risk magazine.

"We're pleased an industry leader like Energy Risk has recognized the unique value EnerPrise brings to the market to enable asset-centric energy companies to build complex deals around their energy assets and to model the risks and rewards of trades and physicals. We'd also like to thank our customers and Energy Risk readers for recognizing EnerPrise as the 2006 Software Product of the Year," said Ron McMahan, CEO of Global Energy Decisions.

Global Energy's EnerPrise software solutions provide analytics and decision support, energy trading, risk management, power generation optimization and market integration -- all on a common platform. EnerPrise enables asset-centric energy companies to integrate business processes and disparate data in order to respond to changing market conditions and to improve business results.

The Tenth Annual Energy Risk awards were made at the annual Energy Risk USA conference held in Houston, TX. A copy of the Energy Risk article highlighting the award is available at http://www.globalenergy.com/ .
