CHERRY HILL, N.J., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- New Jersey American Water (NJAW) has hired several young people to paint fire hydrants in Irvington through the Township's Summer Youth Program.
Through a $16,000 grant by NJAW, the Irvington Youth Program was able to hire five students for the hydrant re-painting program. The students, under the direction of NJAW Network Supervisor Mike Bormann, will work forty-hour weeks during July and August to complete the hydrant painting process. NJAW has over 700 hydrants in the township that need painting.
"Giving back to the communities we serve has always been important to this company. Our focus on not just serving, but building communities has helped us become the trusted water resource provider for over two million New Jersey residents," commented Walter Lynch, President of NJAW.
