Tornado Hits Two Towns in Manitoba, Reports of Injuries, Damage

GULL LAKE, Man. (CP) - A tornado has cut a swath through southeastern Manitoba.
There are unconfirmed reports of at least one death and four people missing.
RCMP Sgt. Steve Saunders says he's heard the damage is extensive in the immediate area of the Gull Lake campground.
Environment Canada severe weather meteorologist Dan Fulton says a funnel cloud was reported near Patricia Beach about 5:19 p.m. local time.
He says a few minutes later, there were reports it touched down.
Fulton says it was definitely a tornado that hit Gull Lake and Patricia Beach, small summer resort communities about 50 minutes north of Winnipeg.
Fulton says there are reports of houses damaged, toppled trailers, uprooted trees and vehicles turned over.
