Partnership Announced for Thompson's(R) Water Seal(R) Brand and Niagara Falls State Park

The Thompson's(R) Water Seal(R) brand is pleased to announce a new multi-year partnership with Niagara Falls State Park to help protect wood decks and other structures at the Park. The agreement calls for a combination of annual funding and Thompson's(R) Water Seal(R) product donations to be used for ongoing construction and maintenance projects.

Beginning this spring, Thompson's(R) Water Seal(TM) Deck & House Stain is being used at one of the most spectacular attractions in the Park -- the Cave of the Winds decks, which bring visitors within fifteen feet of the base of North America's largest waterfall. (Located in New York State, Niagara Falls State Park is the country's oldest state park.)

More than 360,000 people visit the Cave of the Winds decks during the season, which usually runs from May through September. The series of decks and connecting walkways allow visitors beautiful views of the Falls and the surrounding scenery. The uppermost deck is appropriately named the Hurricane Deck because it is subject to a round-the-clock drenching from the spray of the Falls. This deck provides the closest point of access to the Falls in the Park.

The Thompson's Water Seal brand will help fund and protect a new wood guest shelter for the Cave of the Winds attraction, where visitors will gather before they embark on their tour.
