New Jersey American Water Supplies South Orange With Water During Water Main Break

ESSEX COUNTY, N.J., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- New Jersey American Water has begun supplying potable water to the residents of South Orange, New Jersey, after the City of East Orange's Water Department, which supplies water to South Orange, experienced a main break. For the next 16-24 hours, New Jersey American water will be supplying up to 1,600 gallons per minute of potable drinking water to the residents of South Orange. In response to a request by the City of South Orange, New Jersey American Water opened up two interconnections with the City of East Orange Water Department's system in order to supply the water.
