SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Neumont University, offering accelerated Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master of Business Administration degrees, today hosts 15 companies seeking to attract future Neumont graduates. EDS, Fidelity Investments, Novell and Johnson & Johnson are among companies meeting with some 200 students at Neumont's increasingly popular Career Fair.
"The caliber of students we meet when recruiting at Neumont is impressive and exceeds our expectations," states Kristina Lamb, University Relations and Campus Recruiting for EDS.
Recruiters attending the event know well that Neumont graduates receive an average 2.4 job offers and command salaries averaging almost $60,000* upon graduation. Several of the companies recruiting today have previously hired Neumont graduates and are coming back for more. While students at traditional universities are enjoying summer vacation, today's event is made possible because of Neumont's fast-paced year-round 24 month accelerated program.
Other organizations attending today's event include ACS, Arkona, Digital Draw Network, DIGOP, Extend Benefits, First American (FARVV), Knowligent, RemedyMD, State of Utah, Tomax, and Transcensus.
Neumont University educates the most sought-after software developers. The Salt Lake City campus offers an accelerated 30-month Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in one- and two-year formats. Neumont University is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). It is committed to preparing students for today's demanding technology careers.
While enrollment is down nationwide in college and university computer science programs, Neumont University's enrollment is growing because its curriculum focuses on skills that have been proven difficult to send offshore. The school prepares in-demand computer science graduates with advanced technical and business skills that greatly reduce the on-the-job training now required for graduates from other programs. Some of the careers in software development include software engineer, systems architect, web development, systems analyst, data modeler, and programmer/analyst.
