Summer Is More Fun Than Ever With Summer FunDays at The New Detroit Science Center

June 8, 2004

DETROIT, June 8 /PRNewswire/ — Join The New Detroit Science Center all summer long for Summer FunDays, a new program packed with activities and special discounts for children and their families.

As part of Summer FunDays, children ages 3-12 can join the Super Science Kids Club starting June 12, 2004, to receive some extra special rewards while learning more about space, life and physical sciences. To become a member of the club, children can sign up for a Super Science Kids Club punch card during their visit to the Science Center or download the card from the Science Center website, http://www.detroitsciencecenter.org/ .

Super Science Kids Club cards will be punched for each completed activity — one each in space, life and physical sciences. Bonus points will be rewarded for visiting the IMAX(R) Dome Theatre or Dassault Systemes Planetarium. At the end of the summer, all cardholders with three or more activity punches can attend a FREE Summer Send Off Party and pick up some great supplies for back-to-school. Children also can give their punch card to their new teacher to receive a 10% discount on a school field trip for their entire class to enjoy the Science Center.

Super Science Kids Club activities will include making solar system bracelets, creating “goofy gunk,” an egg-drop competition and many other hands-on activities. For a complete list of activities and dates, as well as special Summer FunDays discounts, please visit http://www.detroitsciencecenter.org/ .
