Texas Petrochemicals Receives Official Notification From Huntsman on Port Arthur Facility

HOUSTON, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Texas Petrochemicals, Inc., ("TPI") announced today that TPI has received an official notification from Huntsman Corporation indicating that Huntsman intends to repair and restart its Port Arthur facility. Huntsman had previously stated in a press release on August 15, 2006 that they were highly confident that they would be able to restart the facility in the second quarter of 2007. The Port Arthur facility previously provided feedstock to TPI's recently acquired Port Neches facility.
