The Kid-Friendly Cities Report Card 2004 is Population Connection's ninth biennial report, which ranks America's 100 largest cities and grades the quality of life of children in major urban areas.
New York City ranked 6th in the Major City category with an overall grade of B+.
In addition to the 16 indicators, Population Connection also identified one project in each city that helps improve the quality of life of kids in that community and the Apple Seed was the program chosen in New York City.
