The guidance is expected to inform states of the EPA's
interim plans for regulating the practice of isolating carbon dioxide
underground as a means of decreasing the atmospheric release of this
greenhouse gas.
The Ground Water Protection Council is a national association of state
ground water and underground injection control agencies whose mission is
to promote the protection and conservation of ground water resources.
